Food Lifeline's Produce
for the People
Produce for the People rescues edible, but not sellable fresh produce from
local wholesalers and retailers. This program helps decrease the amount of
fresh produce entering the region's waste stream while simultaneously increasing
the volume and variety of fresh produce available to Western Washington food
banks.
Hopelink
Since 1971, Hopelink has helped people become self-sufficient, making lasting
change. We serve homeless and low-income families, children, seniors and people
with disabilities, throughout north & east King County, Washington.
FareStart
FareStart transforms the lives of homeless and disadvantaged men and women,
building self-sufficiency through job training and placement in the food services
industry.
Oregon
Food Bank
OFB is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hunger
and its root causes. Food from a variety of sources moves through our warehouses
to a network of eighteen regional food banks across Oregon and 280 local agencies
in Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington Counties as well as Clark County,
Washington.

N. A. C. (Seattle Nutrition Action Consortium)
Our mission is to improve the health and nutritional well being of limited
income families with children in the Greater Seattle area. SNAC promotes the
good taste of healthy food and encourages families to eat meals together.
Northwest
Harvest
Northwest Harvest collects and distributes food to approximately 300 hunger
programs in Washington State. In an average month, over 434,000 services are
provided to individuals and families in need. Nearly half of these services
go to children. Our support comes exclusively from individuals, community
and religious groups, foundations, corporations, and the food industry.

Our Strength
Share Our Strength is one of the nation's leading anti-hunger, anti-poverty
organizations. We mobilize thousands of individuals in the culinary industry
to organize events, host dinners, teach cooking and nutrition classes to low-income
families and serve as anti-hunger advocates. And we mobilize hundreds of literary
professionals to conduct benefit readings and contribute works to Share Our
Strength books.
Business
and Industry Resource Venture
The Business and Industry Resource Venture (formerly Business and Industry
Recycling Venture) began in September 1990 with the mission of helping Seattle
businesses prevent waste, recycle and use recycled products. We now offer
information, assistance and referrals on water conservation, stormwater pollution
prevention and other issues such as hazardous waste management and energy
conservation.
Ecological
Farming Association
The Ecological Farming Association, formerly the Committee for Sustainable
Agriculture, is a nonprofit educational organization that promotes ecologically
sound agriculture. When you support the Eco-Farm Association, you are supporting
a new vision for our food system where strengthening soils, protecting air
and water quality, encouraging diverse ecosystems, and honoring rural life
are all part of producing healthful food.

Works
Seattle Works' mission is to foster in young adults a lifetime commitment
to community involvement through innovative volunteer activities and educational
opportunities.

of Hope
City of Hope, an innovative biomedical research, treatment and educational
institution, is dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer and other life-threatening
diseases, guided by a compassionate patient-centered philosophy and supported

The Food Alliance (TFA) is a nonprofit organization that promotes sustainable
agriculture by recognizing and rewarding farmers who produce food in environmentally
and socially responsible ways, and educating consumers and others in the food
